@stillinhere My experience is pretty similar. I did not fit in with the small English-speaking Buddhist group that I spent some time with for a while. Most of my social interaction involves board gaming, RPG, or online games w/ voice chat.
But I find myself feeling isolated most of the time, without a community to fall back on if I need the help. Just a few isolated friends which are well-meaning, but not the same as the all encompassing almost cult-like “church family” I grew up with.

@yanthor I'm not precisely an atheist. I've gotten rid of most of the things I held onto, but other aspects have not moved on. However, I am not at all interested in organized religion or church. I've never fit in at churches. That's a major factor for why I am isolated here. Even in the pagan organizations, I found myself frustrated, when I was trying on that identity.
