This is the approach to the Lairig Ghru, probably the best known hill-pass in Scotland. What I like in particular is that it is 10 km from the nearest road.

@fitheach Hence the "probably" :) But yes, it's lovely.
@wim_v12e great photo but a bit drowsy. Are you shooting raws? some fog reduction and color rebalance would make this picture perfect!
@Wraptile Thanks for the feedback! My camera does not support raw, only jpeg. I usually don't do any postprocessing or even cropping, I just resize the image and post it.
But I have Gimp, Krita and Darktable, so I'd like to give it a try. Could you explain in a bit more detail what I should do?
@wim_v12e Sure thing!
Darktable is amazing, check out the official tutorial for starters: https://www.darktable.org/usermanual/en/
But to sum it up, darktable is made of individual modules and for this picture I'd recommend playing around with Color Correction, Haze Reduction and a bit of Shadows and Highlights (be careful with this one, very easy to make picture unatural).
@Wraptile OK, great, thanks, I'll give it a go!
@Wraptile I did haze reduction (which is great) and some shadows/highlights, but very conservative. I think it did improve, but I need more practice. Darktable looks very powerful.
@wim_v12e
Good stuff!
Yes darktable is really powerful and has so many great modules. The ui is a bit in nusual but you get used to it you can blaze through your photo sessions in no time!
@wim_v12e nice minecraft shader

Oooh? Other contenders: Bealach na Ba, Màm Choire Ghearraig, Lairig Leacach.
It is a lovely walk and a nice photo too.
