Be sure the blender jar lid is on tightly when grinding seeds and nuts for mole. If your goodies escape, they will blow all over you, your kitchen (including the floor), and teleport themselves into nearby rooms.

Yesterday I mixed up a jar of spices including 3 tbp of black pepper / paprika and chilli flakes. Put the lid on, shook it, realised I hadn't put the lid on properly. Spent the next hour sneezing.

This was a mix for italian sausage because a friend who lived in the USA hankers for it. He likes it spicy and so ...extra chilli plus cayenne etc etc.
@tisch I make fermented hot sauces and over the years have stuck my face down to sniff the ground chilis, just to be sure they were sufficiently scoville-ready.
Over the years I have regretted for not minutes, not hours, but days for doing that sniffing . Just did the same thing Tuesday. I need a hashtag other than #liveandlearn I guess.
