They only enacted a harassment policy in the last year, after blatant sexual harassment (and rape) by an officer, but the policy is inadequate, includes no information on reporting, no protection for victims from retribution, and instead emphasizes that false reporting is punishable.
@likecroft@social.tchncs.de That's aside from systemic problems, like the awards system explicitly designed to keep people in-line with the existing powers that determine whether they'll be recognized and awarded for their hard work.
Quite literally, you can lose a decade of acknowledgement because a few people in positions of power decide you're too uppity. They call this "courtesy" and "chivalry." #sca
