I just scheduled some vacation time and I wrote that I was planning to kick back and get away from computers to recharge
Then it was kind of funnyweirdsad to me that we use words like "recharge" to talk about our ourselves now
yes i am a battery my lifeforce is being consumed by work and i must be allowed time to recharge my powercells so that I may continue to function
@tcql It's a metaphor that lets you take some time off. I'm not surprised the self-care movement coincides with the popularization of rechargeable batteries.
