If she eventually wants a prosthetic, look up Knitted Knockers. I've heard that they're far more comfortable than the medical versions. I would volunteer to knit her one, but I'm slow at knitting.

Thanks for the Knitted Knockers tip, and for offering to do some knitting yourself. Catherine wants to get reconstruction eventually, but this will be handy in the meantime.
@starbreaker We all have some kind of hangup. Mine is heights. By the way, she had the mastectomy, not the lumpectomy, correct?
