Advertising can be useful to the consumer when it tells one something new exists (for example, savoury ice-cream flavours or a new branch opening).
But the whole "your penis is weak unless you drive our car" thing is toxic.
So, perhaps allow advertising but only in a set format: e.g. a photo of the product on it's own, a description of the product, and a price.
Much like what one gets in a catalogue.
