I remember when #JudasPriest's Rob Halford came out back in 1998. My brother saw it on MTV and and tried to give me shit about it, but I was all, "Oh, come on. The guy wrote a song about getting a blowjob back in 1986 called 'Eat Me Alive'. He imported the leather and studs look from the club scene. It's obvious, it shouldn't matter, and it doesn't matter to me."
@starbreaker Basically same here, I saw various headlines saying he “shocked the metal world” by coming out, and I was like ooookaaayyy if you say so....
@demonkind It might have shocked metalheads who think Manowar-style macho theatrics are a viable model of masculinity, but I'd like to think most metalheads are smarter than that.
