@hirojin I've never used it but it seemed similar to openscad? Which I haven't been using that much either, it seems okay but I'm worried that more complex models will just confuse me :P
I actually quite liked FreeCAD but I failed to find tutorials and documentation on a workflow outside of "a simple part", like...putting miltiple parts together to make something bigger that fits together, etc :P
@spacekookie running make, as i type this
@hirojin I'm confused...
@spacekookie built solvespace from a git clone, since the newest stuff isn't released yet
@hirojin Aaaaaaah! Sorry, I'm tired and couldn't connect "solverspace" and "typing make" XD
I guess I could give it a try
@spacekookie #Blender, #SweetHome3D or maybe simply #LibreCAD ? It's 2D, but for layout work it might do the job well
@yorik I don't just need it for 2d layout, I live in a roof apartment so the height parameters are really important.
@spacekookie then i'd go with #FreeCAD (but I have a biased opinion :D ) or #Blender, both would be adequate, FreeCAD is more technical, Blender easier for free-form modeling, depending on what you need more
@spacekookie what about solvespace?
would that fit you in any regard?
