Holy shit! Gordon Hayward's broken leg. Holy shit!?!
It's graphic. Not sure you want to watch but damn. Show more
@sonicbooming no, I saw it on Facebook a few minutes ago gruesome.
@sonicbooming I had to actually turn the game off and go do laundry.
@selfnoise I'm trying to determine if its worthy of a front page post or if its too graphic and sensational? I sent a note to a mod asking their POV on the idea of it.
@sonicbooming not sure what there is to say about it other than "oh god that was gross". You could wrap it into a general 2017 NBA season opening thread with other storylines, but that seems like a lot of work and makes me want to take a nap just thinking about it.
Which is probably why I don't make many FPPs.
@selfnoise Probably doesn't pass muster.
@selfnoise And I was also thinking it'd be a place to talk about NBA in general but again, not my subject of expertise and it would take a bit to fold that into the convo in a seamless way.
@sonicbooming @selfnoise Seemed fine to me and possibly helpful for cultural literacy. I didn't hear about this elsewhere (I'm very unplugged from sports news), yet it seems notable enough to stick around as a shared reference.
@selfnoise His 128 million dollar contract and start of first game and gruesome injury. That's news-worthy but is it best of the web? Is it too sensational and glorifying in his injury? I feel sort of shameless and TMZ like with a post. Hmm...
@sonicbooming oh, ouch, damn, & we were just talking about how glad we were that basketball season had started because the NFL has gotten so violent. Watching Aaron Rogers’ season get ended on Sunday put me back off football for a while I think, but man, people get really fucked up in the NBA too. It’s tough to be an ethical sports fan.
