seems like YouTube performance over my HE IPv6 tunnel has taken a nosedive, got another complaint from my sister
disabled AAAA record returns for youtube.com and googlevideo.com for now
(I use cdhowie's netflix-no-ipv6-dns-proxy project for this, its meant for use with Netflix domains but its pretty easy to modify it to strip AAAAs from other domains)
it is unfortunate but without native v6, use of the tunnel for Netflix and YouTube is going to result in degraded or at least lower performance than using v4 which pulls from my ISP's CDN caches
@staticsafe It's going to take a while for IPv6 to catch on. Unfortunately, I think ISPs would prefer we abuse private IPv4 space and wreck the ability for devices behind the "router" to directly talk to the rest of the internet. Me, I can't wait for those days to be over.
