Dearest Rocket League:
I know I'm not a brilliant player or anything, but I have played for over 115 hours. Matchmaking me with 5 rookies was novel, but I'm not sure it was wise.
@sonicbooming I recommend turning off all chat. I did that about 70 hours ago and it really helps. You'll only notice it's online from the dumb usernames! It's not a game where you need chat at all.
Also, if it's helpful, I've noticed that the average player skill in casual matches has actually decreased over the last few months. I'm not sure if it's an influx of players over the summer or some kind of matchmaking change but I don't feel like everyone is insanely good.
@sonicbooming It does, yes. It actually has crossplay with PS4 and XB1 as well, of course not together in one happy family as per your MF post today.
@selfnoise I know that is a very specific gaming post, more narrow in its subject then a lot of the others I post, but it's been something I've been wanting to talk about cuz it is a dick move from Sony.
@selfnoise And yeah, I do turn off voice chat for most eveyrthing online cuz fuck online gamers and all that grief.
@selfnoise Does Rocket League have cross-play with Switch and PC, that might account for the skill level difference you're noticing?
