The more I read the news the more I realize I have no _real_ clue what is actually going on. Then again, why would I? Why would I expect to be able to understand the complexities of countries half a world away from a handful of articles that my own countries news publish, especially when I know no one from them and have never been to them.

Maybe I should just focus on local news, and settle for a cursory understanding of a world I have little control over.

@brwarner I used to feel that way. I was in a bubble in my teens and twenties. Then I started blending mainstream news with alternative sources, and that when I got a little more incite into what is happening. You're right though we will never know the entire story, I firmly believe only a select few have that kind of access.
