@aldersprig It is! I wasn't sure, at first, but decided to trust the designer, especially since it's a gift. I want it to look really good when she opens it!
(and then pray she never, ever washes it...)
@reedsandstrings I left both the yarn tag and careful directions with my mom for the things I knitted her & dad for Christmas, but those weren’t nearly as complicated.
@aldersprig I'm thinking "hand wash, air dry, but only if you really, really have to!"
@aldersprig (I see now this was perhaps not the best pattern choice for a gift to a non-knitter. But I think it will still look nice as textured, crumply lace...)
@reedsandstrings “lay flat to dry?” I told my mom to treat it like a sweater, but my mom is really good at taking care of clothes, so that means “dry on the table spread out carefully on a towel.”

I should probably stop stressing about it.
