@pzmyers You have to remember that this kind of mentality isn't about saying what they actually believe; it's about persuading naive 3rd parties to form a mob (aka human bot army) which can then be directed somewhat arbitrarily through appeal to emotional hooks.
By assuming falsehoods in their comments, they can persuade the easily-persuadable, as well as enlisting others of their kind whose main ambition in life is to one day be at (or near) the head of a *really big* angry rabble.

"Creotard" is an interesting formation, from a linguistic POV. Somehow "leotard" has crept into the general "-tard" class and been assimilated. As an indication of someone who doesn't even think about HOW he's communicating, let alone what he's saying, it's quite a useful indicator.
