@pzmyers but both serial and parallel are just variations on D-Sub, and with ethernet it's again a variation on RJ, you can also include phone one and a wider one i'm not sure what it is for (or if it even exists), headphone jack is a variation on /TR*S/ and it has an eviler thinner brother and gooder thiccer brother.
