Thank you! I have un-checked "auto-play animated GIFs" and hope that is the setting that will do it.
@Angle @DialMforMara @mirabilis that's the right one. Hovering on the avatar will animate it again.
@DialMforMara @mirabilis I think that's the one. not at my computer, so I can't be sure. might be another to stop gifs completely in all circumstances, I dunno. :/
