You know ketamine shows promise in treating depression? With that in mind, see this article by Emily Deans, MD. It's fascinating.
"So is there a less dramatic, “natural” version of ketamine, something we can safely ingest every day, but might be a little depleted in our modern diets?"
And then she goes on to talk about magnesium.

@pixelpaperyarn Me too!
@mirabilis i've been researching options lately for my specific condition (PCOS/PMDD) and i've got a nice list of supplements i'm starting to add to my regimen. magnesium was one of them that came up repeatedly.
@pixelpaperyarn Interesting. I hope that something in your supplement list will work to give you perfect results.
I come across a fair number of women who switched to a paleo ketogenic diet in order to deal with PCOS.
@mirabilis interesting. paleo/keto is really really hard as a vegetarian, so i've not really seen it as an option.
@pixelpaperyarn It would certainly be a big challenge. Do you eat eggs and dairy products? Nuts?
@mirabilis yup. i do dairy and eggs and love nuts. it’s something i might look into again. gonna see how far the supplements take me first.
@mirabilis I use Natural Calm magnesium powder for anxiety/sleep. 1 tbsp works amazingly.
@limabean
I take that at bedtime, too.
@mirabilis
I've been using Magnesium on and off for some years, also Vit B3 (Niacin.)
@mirabilis i've been seeing lots of recommendations of magnesium lately independent of this.
