so fediverse, what's your favorite Android mastodon client?
I'm using Tusky. I actually like it, but maybe there's something I would like more? Also I suspect Tusky won't be so great once I start following more people.
@matejcik I run a greasemonkey userscript to fix the column widths in the web client. It could probably also be done with a custom CSS file.
@matejcik I really like subway tooter for it's customization options and good support of multiple instances. The options can feel a little overwhelming at first, though.
@matejcik after trying many, #AndStatus is currently the only one that meets my functional requirements of never missing a toot and never losing my position in my timeline. #mastalab is close, but has a few bugs that trip me up daily. I'm rooting for #twidere and will look at it again soon, but at the moment it's a Twitter client that happens to do Mastodon, but has major issues when used for Mastodon-only.
also, are there clients for desktop (Linux, browser extension, separate website) worth mentioning?
the default mastodon web thing seems impractical to me. they could at least make the columns wider than a 2011 smartphone? sometimes I end up widening them manually in the webdeveloper console...
