I've just started reading The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. It's been a very long time since I've read a novel. A few pages in, it's nice! What are you reading?

@ljpg Just finished Rebecca Solnit's latest. Reading The Count of Monte Cristo now.

@RexfordGTugwell What did you think of the Solnit? I'll check it out, thanks. I do know the story of The Count (and have seen film adaptation) but have never actually read it.

@ljpg Solnit was good. I find her prose style a little... distancing? But worth reading.

Count is good but l-o-n-g, 1200+ pages.

@ljpg I read that a few years ago! Remember it being quite good. He wrote a couple other books on the same setting, I think.

Recently been working through Haruki Murakami's Kafka on the Shore. It's a very weird book, but pretty engrossing.

@cruelnoise Engrossing is good. I've become so lazy about my reading since I finished studying. I am hoping for a stack of unputdownables to help me sort myself out!
