Listening to The Art of the Japanese Koto, Shakuhachi and Shamisen, to remind myself of Japan, while I look at all the food stuff I haven’t had in a while: fresh veggies, salad, bread, cheese, milk, cereals.
@wrenpile we ate in Restaurants, Isakayas and Ryokans every day and my impression was that there were small bits and pieces of pickles and little things to add to a soup but it was nowhere near the amount of veggies I eat at home, yes. You‘d say no difference? Perhaps I’d see just as little veggies if I ate in Swiss Restaurants every day but we don’t really a national cuisine, so all I’m left with is the comparison with home (I do all the cooking).
