Any #bitlbee users out there using the Bitlbee Mastodon plugin? I have some news: 1. I'm trying to move stuff away from GitHub so ticket list and repo URL can be found here: https://alexschroeder.ch/software/Bitlbee%20Mastodon 2. create a new clone or add a new remote or change the url of that upstream remote you have and fetch; then switch to the 'develop' branch 3. give it a whirl: mentions in replies should work, now; and two new commands: bio and pinned.
@bremner hahaha β well, if itβs any help once youβve set it up with your favorite IRC client then using it is automatic as soon as go on IRC. And of you donβt do that, then really there is no point in using Bitlbee. π
More #bitlbee developments (i.e. the bitlbee-mastodon plugin): we should finally have better control over toot visibility. There's a default setting per account, commands to post new toots using a non-default visibility, and replies use the visibility of the toot you are replying to, or your default, whichever is stricter. Testing appreciated. π

Make sure you test the *develop* branch!
@kensanata I'm intrigued, but not quite motivated enough to mess with it yet. I mean, I'm a person that goes for month long hiatuses from mastodon because he's too lazy to dig out his password from the password keeper.
