I speak native English but I’ve lived in the US my entire life and haven’t had much interaction with Scottish it Irish people outside hearing it on TV

@jordyd my partner, who is Irish, can always tell if someone's got a (fake) Irish / Scottish / etc accent
it's quite fascinating how good she is!
then again, she's a native speaker, grew up with Irish, British and American TV, and worked as waitress.
while i learned English as a third language, in school, on irc, and from watching anime subtitles.
