Hello Mastodon!

What would you recommend to beginners as an easy-to-use, easy-to-install privacy-conscious web #browser? (This covers both computers and phones.)

How worrying is Chrome's tendency to scan users' computers and/or phone home to Google?

Is there anything in Firefox to worry about?

@switchingsocial Brave Browser is underrated for phone, for desktop Firefox with extensions like uMatrix, uBlock, Privacy Badger, Decentraleyes etc. Brave for phone has pre-installed extensions (shields) for tracking, ads and more. Firefox Focus is lightweight but doesn't block ads better than Brave or regular Firefox with uBlock extension (I've tested them on few sites). Many people don't know that you can install extensions on Firefox on phone.
