Managed to root an old samsung android tablet, by following an intersection of all the different forum posts (all of which were wrong or missing information).
Not planning a new forum post of my own.
@joeyh that is a common frustration. It's also typical for forum members to insist that newcomers reads hundreds of pages of posts to try to find a few bits of accurate info amongst a lot of inaccurate info.
