How does a fuse fail such that it's burning hot to the touch?!
@joeyhIf the current is above the rated current but still below the tripping current. The heat builds up until, hopefully, the fuse trips.And no, that's not a failure. It's how fuses have been working for centuries.
@attilakinali well, yes, but this fuse didn't have continuity anymore, but seemed to be generating heat
(unless it was another element near it, I lack an IR camera)
