I have a wobbly USB cable that breaks/makes connection.
I thought USB was supposed to be designed to prevent this?
@joeyh I think mostly it's designed to minimize the connectors' cost; that's why it went with connectors you can print on a circuit board. BNC connectors and crimp-on spade lugs are designed to prevent wobbly breaking-and-making connections. USB is a study in compromises (and, occasionally, stupidity.)
