Suppose someone gave you a blank check. You are allowed to write any amount of money on it, and you'll just get it. BUT: Only if the bank account of the person can cover it without ending up in red numbers. You have no indication how rich the person might be. What number do you write on the check, and why?

Why? Most people don't write a lot of checks anymore, and the check number typically starts at 100 or 500. Median bank account contains less than $3k. So, this guarantees I won't drain such an account. But if the account makes a lot of transactions, it's likely a lot bigger.
