Today I'm appreciating what a sea of serendipity the internet is. Back in 2004, some friends and my future husband found a flyer while walking around town. They gave it to me because I was stuck at work instead of being able to go out with them. I scanned it in and posted it on LiveJournal, and then it took on a life of its own: http://www.lostfrog.org/
