Today I told my director that I'll be dropping out of the hand bell choir after December. It was a tough decision - it's currently my only regular musical outlet and I really like my fellow ringers. But, it's been really hard to juggle rehearsals and performances with my kids' needs, plus I'm going to need to be doing more work around the house as we prepare to sell it.
It was really hard to tell him, and it will be even harder to tell the rest of the choir. But I know it's the right decision.
@reedsandstrings I had to drop out of community band when my kids were younger. It's a difficult decision but you're doing the right thing. And it's only temporary.
@jenrjones You're right of course, and I am reminding myself of that. And who knows what opportunities might come along in the next year or two!
