@jdb The pitcher is closer to the batter than the catcher is? How does that work?
@ejworthing I think the catcher is poorly named. Generic 'infielder' would be more like it. (Though I also like 'Danger Zone Fielder' and 'lumpy'.)
The pitcher just tosses the ball up in the air (at least a meter above his head) like the ref in a jump ball and then steps aside.
@jdb Wow. That makes it a completely different game from American baseball.
