@feld @starbreaker I want to say that they are too busy being outraged over asylum-seeking families being torn apart at our southern border, terrified children ripped from their parents, possibly never to see them again.
But I would be totally lying. Most people in Congress are completely okay with that and just fine with the idea of making us all sit up and salute, and being sent to die in a gulag if we don't sit up straight or fast enough.

@jannamark @feld True, but if I were to start engaging in direct action to curb these abuses, I'd just be murdered and libeled as a mentally ill person.
And I talk about direct action because voting didn't help. Calling congresscritters doesn't help. Protests don't help.
Most USians aren't willing to accept that peaceful revolution has been deliberately made impossible by the powers that be.
