@j2bryson I wouldn’t say they’re more reliable and secure, but there’s opportunity for greater accountability since more people can look inside and see what’s actually happening.
@j2bryson Not necessarily. In fact, most are less reliable and many are less secure. However, open source means that we are able to inspect the source code, so we don't need to take anyone else's word. Free software also allows us to tailor software to the public's need instead of being at the mercy of a for-profit company.
