The thing about the unthinkability of a Maidan-style democratic revolution in Russia is: if you are on the borders of Russia and have a democratic revolution, Putin will invade in order to put a war zone on your border. See? Democracy doesn't work!
If you *are* Russia and have a democratic revolution, whose army is going to invade you? Weirdly, Russia has a better chance than its neighbours in that respect.
