Anybody build anything cool today? What's something that you're working on that makes you super excited?

@daveskull81 I really like how, at least for the moment, Mastodon seems to be 90% techy people ^-^

@ChristianD Me too. It always seems to be that way that tech minded folks like programmers are the first to join a new thing as they likely hear about it first and check it out to see if they can build anything cool with it. I hope this place sticks around. I like it a lot so far.

@daveskull81 "I hope this place sticks around. I like it a lot so far."

Me too, man. Me too.

@daveskull81 I was weirdly excited to get a TV antenna until I found out I get shit reception unless I drag the whole TV out on the front porch :(

@BeansWater Oh no. That sucks. At least that could be pretty cool in the summertime to watch tv outside, maybe?

@daveskull81 It would probably be a lot of fun, yeah. Dragging it around all the time maybe not so much.

No, if I want to get serious an aerial is probably the answer but I"m not sure I'm that serious when I can just download it or watch shady streams

@BeansWater It does sound like a lot of work now that I think about it. Oh well.

@daveskull81 Working on a Node/Express/MySQL tea journal app! An idea I've wanted to build for a long time.

@kev_mcg That is super cool! Sounds like a cool project. I'm a big fan of Node.js and Express. Doing backend stuff is my favorite. I just want to make APIs for someone else to connect a frontend to. Good luck with it.

@daveskull81 I love that you asked these questions! This is bound to be a great community when everyone is so excited to talk about the things they enjoy. Welcome! :pineapple:

@pmosetc Thank you! I just really want this place to somewhere people go to talk about the things they love without fear of judgement.

@daveskull81 I'm making an implementation of a favourite game of mine, Hive (a chess-like strategy game) in JS github.com/unwitting/hive-game

@daveskull81

I'm creating my own neural lace using fishing line. Hope it turns out.
