Social Security Numbers as a root password for your life is such a bad design.
@dthompson @cwebber It's your username AND your password!
@cwebber WHAT WHO DOES THAT?!?!?
@milego Are you a US citizen or US resident? Because the answer is "any key infrastructure you use" in that case.
@cwebber WHAT? I never use my SSN for passwords. Such bad security design.
@milego It's not literally the password you use. But you can get access to anyone's bank/insurance/retirement account with the info of last name, last four of someone's SSN, and date of birth. That's effectively a root password right there.
@cwebber Oh yes. but then there is http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/
@cwebber have you heard about that project that wants to use blockchain to create an automated, international ID system? I think it's called Cicada?
@cwebber "it's a secret, but you need to share it with almost everyone"
