Try to be appreciative of the work people put into hard and important things that you want to happen, or else eventually they'll burn out and won't work on them any more.
Don't misread this: I don't mean don't call them on something if they do something problematic. Of course, we all need to hear such things to change.
I mean in general, it's easy to be cynical towards those who are trying, and unfortunately not enough people are trying. When you see effort, make some effort to show you're glad that effort is happening so you see more of it.
