Scheme / Guile / Racket

I've often said that I would love to take @cwebber's brain and shake it to see what all pops out because I know that anything in there will be amazing. One of the languages that he introduced me to was Scheme. Scheme is a functional language that borrows heavily from Lisp. It's a teaching language but still retains a lot of Lisp's power. I haven't explored it fully but I want to get back there again.

@craigmaloney @cwebber indeed :)

for me picking up Haskell in my undergrad was very enlightening, and it remains my favourite language to day. i've been slowly looking into Lean for a while, and i really like the impression.

but those are much closer to ML. in the land of lisp, i've done some elisp, and as fun as it is, i don't particularly love it. i'm looking into Guile and Racket next :) @MutoShack 's intro post is cool http://muto.ca/planting-flowers-in-guile.html

@craigmaloney Aw thanks! I'd prefer my brain unshaken but I'm happy to share thoughts anyway

@cwebber Well, yeah, metaphorically speaking of course.
