Something tells me I'm going to end up at least contemplating a blog post about why young men should be forcibly exposed to high-quality Regency romance (or, at least, the works of Jane Austen and the Bronte Sisters) and taught to understand how the slut/stud dichotomy is rooted in European aristocratic social/sexual mores springing up around property/title inheritance laws based in primogeniture.
I am so not qualified for this shit.
@starbreaker Potentially actually intellectual, and potentially kind and useful, given that the romance is supposed to be joyful and growthful for both parties. I think good romances often show the damage done *to* men *by* patriarchy. The damage is often subtle, though, or kind of disguised by the hero's enormous wealth.
