Quietly realizing for the Nth time how much some of our #Dreamwidth posts rely on being able to use extended HTML formatting at times. Most of them don't need more than a little. But the ones that need it _need_ it for the presentation, and if they were the only ones pushed Somewhere Else, they would be the ones to never get read.
@Xkeeper Untrusted embedding is still tricky, to be fair, but you _can_ still do a parse/render step.
Markdown is supposed to let you do inline HTML; I don't remember whether the public-facing versions usually let you though.
