What makes this any better than Twitter for you? Genuinely curious since I just joined. Cheers!

@cbri SO far (just an hour, I'm afraid) have not encountered any patriots. Big plus!

@plumpernickel That's one of the things that made it attractive to me. A couple articles I read about it praised it for not having any neo-nazis - a big plus for just about anything. Thanks for the reply!

@cbri right now it's all about the excitement of something new and a sense of control. I hope this can become a long-term option for those of use disappointed in what social media has become.

@jason @cbri Yeah I agree. community is still very fluid/friendly compared to twitter. And since it is de-centralized, idea of building on a space w/ no ads where Devs actually respond to community requests is pretty cool. It reminds me a lot of how twitter was in early days when @, #, RT functions were first getting fleshed out...

@GK yep. And I like the idea that it can become a thousand different places, and we can choose the place that best suits us and still participate with everyone.

@cbri

@jason @GK I do like the decentralized model. Jason, those are my thoughts exactly. I'm curious what kinds of communities and common-interest channels will start to develop

@jason It's always interesting to join a new social network. I doubt I have many friends that will be making the switch soon, but it's neat to explore an entirely new platform with an entirely new group of people. Cheers, & thanks for the reply!

@cbri I love how you can write more stuff in your posts. Better that way to communicate with people, instead of spam tweeting the same person over and over.

@teddiesage1987 You're right about that. Much easier to have a real conversation.

@cbri Probably the lack of garbage here...so far. Plus you get a bit more context with the additional characters.
