so i've tried to run shadowrun a few times now and asside from getting bogged down in the rules (an annoying yet solvable problem) i've had a lot of trouble keeping the group interested during the setup stages of a run
i really enjoy the process of planning out a run and get a great sense of satisfaction for a well executed plan ("i love it when a plan comes together") but i don't think that's true for most of the rest of my players
so
the question becomes
how do i setup runs they'll enjoy

see i tend to pull pretty heavily for rules light systems and campaigns
and yet one of our best campaigns has been d&d with straight combat all the way through with custom artifacts and bosses
and the setting of shadowrun is so cool
i really want to make it work
