Oh, right. I'm still not completely certain which of these will be my "main", either Octodon or my own personal GNU Social instance. I mean, in theory, either should work just as well, right?
@captainspam for me the advantage of octodon over a private instance is the local timeline. Discoverability hooray.
@matejcik Definitely a worthy advantage, but for me, the advantage of a personal instance is "meh, something to fiddle with". 😃
Also, it gives me the flexibility to mess with the API with impunity if this idea I've got pans out.
