Occasionally I'll see some bio on here like "17yo anarchist" or "15yo intersectional feminist" and, like, who are these kids? At that age, the most cohesive political philosophy I had was "ska is pretty rad." I'm just late to the party, I guess?

@benhamill the world is changing SO fast man - technology is powerful stuff :astonished:

@weirdoslam Haha. No shade, though. 💖 You just have more awareness younger than I did. Also: I didn't want to necessarily aim people at you who might just happen accepted that post.

@benhamill ahh thank u!! nice to meet u and hope we can talk more :>

@benhamill I blame the internet. Being a teen in the ninties, those concepts and ideas were not easy to stumble on, unless you were the kind of nerd who did political studies. Whereas now, everything is so much more accessible, it actually is a little mind-blowing.

@benhamill a big thing at that age is pretending to know everything. this includes knowing one's personal philosophy and usually knowing exactly how the world works. if only adults would take them seriously they could fix everything!

For those unfamiliar with viewing etiquette in Japan, there are a few simple (unspoken) rules:

1) Do not pull on the branches to bring the flowers closer to your face for photos.
2) Do not climb the trees.
3) Do not remove the flowers or branches from the trees.
4) Consider everyone around you when taking photos.

These rules preserve the trees and blossoms for as long as possible.
