Is a country-specific instance restricted? Maybe. But it would be kind of neat to have a local timeline that was tied to a place where I live. What if there was an instance that was primarily Cascadia?

@beej Rather than restricting instances, could location information be added to the toots, like twitter does? Then location based tracking could be opt-in, and you could still make a federated feed based on geofencing.
