~AYA SPEAKS OUT ON SAINT PATRICK'S DAY~

Happy "We Don't Know Anything About Irish Culture or the Toxic History Behind Saint Patrick" day, everyone.

Now, can you please stop f***ing bombarding me with this s***? If not, know that all of you are only contributing to the "Americans are Ignorant" perception that so many around the world have.

@ayachan @Yuki_G_t9tK Saint Patty’s Day...another excuse for Americans to get drunk and dig on ethnic stereotypes.

@KyokiKafuka @Yuki_G_t9tK Yep...all the while riding on the backs of one of the handful of White races that have been historically discriminated against and without privilege.

And let's not forget that Saint Patrick was a killing machine who felt that Pagans did not deserve to live, especially if they happened to exist anywhere near Christians.

This "holiday" is a disgrace and the Americans somehow manage to be even more horrid and offensive about the whole thing.

Ugh. It's horrid, Kyoki.

@ayachan My grandpa's birthday is today, he would have been 80. That's pretty much all I've ever cared about with this holiday. I just never "got" it.

@ayachan Question, what about people who don't necessarily celebrate "Saint Patrick's Day" as an Irish thing but like the aesthetic behind it (ex green and clovers and stuff)? Is that still bad?
