I keep coming to the same conclusion. I've always had chops, I've always been able to do the technical parts of making and recording music. But I've always been shite at actually writing any music. Grr...
@Troll That's a different kind of chops. Some great musical teams seem to have divided up the tasks between them, with the virtuosos/as and the music producers being different people.
