The Shadow Brokers had another release after WannaCry was all over the news. Guess just to respond to those criticizing their hand in it. Well, that and to introduce their exploit of the month club...
They call out the Equation Group, implying they are an actor of similar scale and sophistication. (they continue the faux-Russian accent by way of American pop culture--a joke which sad to say still gets me every time). They call the American media "gay" which they mean in the old Xbox-live sense of the slur. They talk a lot of shit about Microsoft and its lawyers, which in any other setting would be endearing.
Every time they put something out, reading these clowns is like watching a stand-up show with a cracked rib. You laugh, then you wince and wish you weren't laughing, then you laugh--rinse and repeat.
But some very interesting inflammatory things too, especially near the end about American tech companies and their relationship with The Equation Group. I know the probable intent of generally fucking up the US cyber capability is to be kept in mind as this is read, but even so it's still does raise some interesting questions.
