so in a scene with archer, t'pol and travis, i bet you can't guess which one didn't get any lines 🙃

you know how in trials and tribblelations sisko goes up to kirk to get him to sign something and it was just an awesome moment?

seeing archer dressed like this is the opposite of that moment

seeing sisko get to meet kirk made me feel all warm and fuzzy

seeing archer dress like kirk makes me want to throw things at him

according to this ep, prime universe archer went down in history as the greatest explorer of the 22nd century and had two planets named after him?

well gosh, i hope history also recorded the time he and phlox created a baby in the lab so they could raise and murder it and harvest its brain

@Taweret I mean, to be fair, it actually isn't surprising the Federation would view Archer favorably?? empires love to whitewash historical figures so they can idolize them and help reinforce their people's sense of a national identity through that supposedly shared, glorious, not-at-all-fucked-up history (like how the US has idolized like every wealthy white man from the 18th century we possibly could as all being heroes/"explorers"/etc)... 😬

(plus I mean, the Earth gov't from back then may also have been inclined to cover up Archer's crimes, since they just let him out there to represent all of us with no accountability or rules or anything so it makes them look super bad lol)

@NormalPopsicle @Taweret I kind of want to suggest that TOS through Voyager are the Federation's version of history and Enterprise is a 29th-Century Time Cop's primer on what to actually expect when you go to Archer's era, but that's getting dangerously close to agreeing with MatPat on an awful take.
