In German, there's a term for the time from Xmas to the 6th of January: "Zwischen den Jahren", which means "between the years". I rather like the idea of a time between the years, somehow out of time itself.
@TQ Hi, random person whose "toot" I just read! Did you know that in pre-Republican Rome, they had ten months, March to December (that's why Sep/Oct/Nov/Dec come from the Latin for 7/8/9/10) which they followed with a long, unnumbered "winter" in which nothing happened. So your idea has a long, rich history to it. Not bad for a "toot"!
